Woman’s Day – Origin

Isabel Wilkerson was the first African woman to win a Pulitzer prize.

Me and Esther went to see Origin at Rio cinema. It was on specially for International Women’s Day. It was about racial and cultures. She wrote a book telling people what is right. It does not matter if you are Black,White or Asian we are all the same inside. This was a powerfully film to watch, I am happy to see it.

Esther said to me she like it so much and said thank you for tell me about it so we both learn something new from the film about ‘Caste’. My favourite part of the film was the part about India. This is because they showed the nice food and scenery, which brought back good memories about India.

When the film finished me and Esther asked someone to take a photograph of us next to poster. We came out and she gave me a hug and said take care.

Going to see the Bob Marley movie

I went to see the Bob Marley movie at the Rio cinema. I asked my friend if she wanted to come with me, she said yes. I told her it would be £6 because we are over 50.

She asked me what time it started and I said at 15:45. When I finished my salsa dance class at 14:00, I first went to the library to check my email then I went to the shop to buy a large bar of chocolate that I knew my friend liked then I went to her house.

We got to the Rio at 15:35, paid £6 each then a man took a photo of us next to Bob Marley's picture. We really enjoyed the movie which finished at 18:00 after which we went home. My friend said thank you for taking me.
